For nearly two decades, equity research and sales specialist Janina Casey has served as a director and managing director for some of New York City’s top performing financial firms. Well before Janina Casey entered the financial sector, she was a television and commercial actor, which included roles on the Electric Company. She earned a CLIO nomination for her work in an advertising campaign.

Since 1959, the CLIO awards have recognized outstanding achievement in commercial advertising and design. Considered one of the most prestigious accolades in the advertising industry, the awards program fields nearly 20,000 candidates every year. CLIO award categories include advertising campaign formats such as direct mail, television, print, and digital.

CLIO judging panels are balanced by gender and include individuals from around the world. Only an estimated 20 percent of all applicants make it past the first and second rounds. Finalists may be awarded with a gold, silver, or bronze medal.

In each category, one outstanding applicant earns the top award, the Grand Clio. A recent notable recipient of the grand accolade is Wall Street’s Fearless Girl statue, part of a statement campaign for State Street Global Advisors.
